Problem

Problem

The first problem is that the information architecture is unclear, making it difficult for users to find recent events, sponsorship opportunities, speaker details, and location information.

The second problem is that the visual design lacks appeal for the local community and businesses. The color palette does not align with Las Vegas’ brand image, resulting in a less engaging user experience.

Problem:
Unclear information architecture, lack of some order of priority making users hard to easy understand the website .

Challenges:
The priority/sequence of Large amount of information in the homepage, developer listed all information in the homepage and they are used to put lates information at the top of the homepage, but it sometimes loses consistency and correlation.

Exploration:
1. I chose action-oriented and engagement-First plan,

  1. To show action-oriented and engagement-first aim. I placed Events & Tickets before the About Us section first to emphasize that the primary goal is to engage visitors with upcoming activities immediately. Put About Us → Team & Sponsorship later for deeper involvement.

  2. I combined our speaker at the beginning and speaker application at the bottom together, making it more clear and intuitive.
Put header and description for each section, user can understand the section content faster and clearer.

1. The date button is too small and not clear. We could combine events from both dates onto one page and use a large title for each date before the event list.
2. Add 'EVENTS' as the first column in the table.
·  Move 'TYPE' to the second column and use color-coded backgrounds to distinguish Tour (purple), Main Event (red), and Dinner (blue).
·  Add 'REGISTER' at the end of the column and include 'RSVP' buttons linking to the Eventbrite page.
·  Increase the font size and bold 'TYPE, TIME, LOCATION, REGISTER'—possibly adding icons before them for better visibility.
3. Increase the font size of all event names (e.g., 'Atomic Museum Tour') to improve hierarchy and readability.
·  Add 'DETAIL' buttons below event titles as dropdowns to display descriptions, instead of placing descriptions next to event names.
4. Increase the margin between the 'EVENTS' and 'TYPE' columns, and maintain consistent spacing among 'TYPE, TIME, LOCATION, REGISTER'.
