Currently, carpooling services are available in 338 cities in China, with 362 million users and 2.9 billion trips, making it the choice of many people. The main purpose of carpooling is to make it more convenient for people to travel, reduces the cost of travel for everyone, saves energy and reduces pollution, but there are still many safety concerns, low satisfaction, quality of service, quality of fulfillment, and transaction issues, which prevent it from forming a huge environmentally friendly market.
The major players in the carpooling market are DIDI, DIDA, Uber, Gaode map,BlaBlaCar,Via Transportation, Lyft Line, Waze Carpool, Zimride, Carma and Scoop Technologies.
